Intoxicated Driver Resource Center
The Ocean County Health Department is responsible for administering the Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center (IDRC) for Ocean County.
In New Jersey, persons convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs must attend two consecutive days of IDRC. The program is designed to educate those convicted and to assess their drug/alcohol abuse problem.
Although classifications are not made at this time as to whether a person has an alcohol or drug abuse problem, a person may be referred for further evaluation and possible treatment. The attendants in this program must comply with these referrals in order to regain their driving privileges.
