THE OCEAN COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH PRESENTED STAFF FROM THE OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILITIES A JOINT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY SENATE AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON FEBRUARY 8, 2023.

The resolution acknowledges the more than 50 OCAF and OCHD employees who have worked with diligence and compassion over the last 2 months to support and care for the 134 dogs and 44 cats that were neglected in the recent Brick hoarding complaint.

When brought to the 3 Ocean County animal facilities, the animals were in desperate need of immediate care. It was a painstaking process that not only included bathing, grooming, and medical exams - but also a variety of other procedures were performed such as clinical and behavior testing, administering of vaccines and medications, dental cleanings, and spay/neuter surgeries.

So far we are proud to announce that 155 animals have found good loving homes.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or dog from the Ocean County Animal Facilities in Jackson or Manahawkin please call 732-657-8087 or 609-978-0127.
