Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Info

Patients currently taking prescribed ANTIBIOTICS or Antivirals for an illness are not candidates for the Covid-19 Moderna vaccine. The vaccine can be administered after the last dose of medication has been taken.

Vaccine Information
Please be advised that the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine consist of two doses administered intramuscularly. The Ocean County Health Department is dedicated to providing the Moderna second dose at 28 to 40 days after first dose administration. As per the CDC, there is no maximum interval between the first and second doses. Therefore, if the second dose is administered >1 month after the first Moderna vaccine dose, there is no need to restart the series.
