Three Ocean County residentsSusan Strack, Chaya Kaszirer & Anna Papson – were recognized at a recent Ocean County Board of Health meeting for completing the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
This OCHD diabetes education unit provides programs to assist residents manage their personal journey living with and/or preventing the disease by empowering them with the necessary tools to live a healthy lifestyle.
Through the year-long OCHD PreventT2 Program pre-diabetes patients will gain critical prevention education and the many ways to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Chaya Kaszirer – Chaya decreased her A1C% significantly.
Anna Papson – Anna lost a considerable amount of weight and now exercising 6-7 days a week .
Susan Strack – Susan is happily losing weight and her A1C% went as well. She is also doing physical activity 6-7 days per week.
With these accomplishments, all three participants have significantly reduced their chances of developing Type 2 diabetes.
