FLU VACCINE CLINICS ARE HELD AT 175 SUNSET AVENUE IN TOMS RIVER
EVERY MONDAY FROM 11AM-6PM
Please note that the COVID VACCINES will NOT be available on Monday, October 2, 2023, due to shipment delay. All flu vaccine varieties & pneumonia vaccines will still be offered. (Please keep an eye here on our Facebook page for COVID vaccine updates).
The OCHD requests residents to schedule an appointment at www.ochd.org for all vaccine types but walk-ins will be accepted.
The OCHD continues to recommend that every year all people 6 months of age and older be vaccinated against seasonal flu.
Vaccination is especially important for pregnant women and people with chronic diseases. The flu vaccine protects against several different flu viruses (strains). Flu vaccines are updated every year to better match the viruses circulating in the public. Getting the flu vaccine cannot give you the flu! The vaccine is made with inactive (killed) virus strains which are not infectious.
Flu and Covid vaccines will be provided with NO out-of-pocket costs, with insurance documentation. Individuals who do not have insurance can still receive a vaccine through our uninsured-underinsured cost program.
