Farmers’ Market Benefits

Farm markets provide an opportunity for the community to interact directly with the local producers of fruits, vegetables and herbs; this interaction not only creates a connection but helps buyers understand where their food comes from.  In many cases, pop-up farm markets provide buyers the opportunity to shop local fresh produce right in their own community.

Quick facts for the 2023 season

  • Benefits will begin June 1st, 2023 and expire November 30, 2023
  • Farmers will be at various locations throughout Ocean and Monmouth county
  • Participants will receive $30.00 for the season per eligible participant
  • Benefits can be used to purchase locally grown, fresh NJ fruits, vegetables, and herbs
  • QR codes can only be used at farm markets, they will not be accepted at grocery stores
  • Only registered farmers market vendors have the ability to redeem QR codes (see a complete list of approved vendors below)
